About Department:
Mechatronics Engineering is a interdisciplinary branch of the engineering field that deals with the study of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and Control Engineering. Mechatronics Engineering program incorporates a wide range of education in the basic standards and principles of Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Engineering. It mainly focuses on various aspects of technology such as Solid Modelling, Sensors, Controllers, Real-Time Computer Interfacing, Artificial intelligence (AI), Additive Manufacturing, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems and Robotics. Mechatronics engineering is essential for advancing automation in manufacturing and making factories smarter and more efficient. A candidate possessing a Mechatronics Engineering diploma can work in various areas such as Automobile, Robotics, Aerospace and Aviation, Gas and Oil, Transport, Defence, Manufacturing, Telecom, Metallurgy, Bio Mechatronics, Biomedical Systems. Skilled Mechatronic Engineers are in high demand in the field of implementing, designing and operating Internet Control of Machines, Real-Time Software, Instrumentation and Autonomous Robots.
The Mechatronics Engineering Department established in 2022-23, has well qualified and experienced staff. The department takes part in sponsored projects, arranging industrial visit, conducting guest lectures. The department is having laboratories which are equipped with the state-of-the-art equipments. Department is now transforming labs into Industry 4.0 ready labs.

Department Laboratories:
1. Control Systems/ PLC-SCADA Lab.
(Lab In charge: Er. Jayraj N. Hire)
Control system and PLC SCADA laboratory is focus on measurement of different parameter and controlling the output with controllers like ‘PLC’ and ‘PID’.
This lab is specially designed to achieve the multidisciplinary skilled competency and innovative technology towards the students.
In control system and PLC SCADA Laboratory, every student does Practice on all latest control and PLC based systems.
PLC SCADA systems are used for controlling, monitoring, and analyzing industrial devices and processes. The system consists of both software and hardware components and enables remote and on-site gathering of data from the industrial equipment.
Lab is equipped with major equipment’s like Traffic Light control system setup, Temperature control system setup, Standard test signal generator kit, Proportional, PI, PD, PID controller, AC/DC Position control system, Synchro Transmitter, Receiver & Error detector etc.

2. Comp.Aided Mechatronics Drafting / Solid Modeling & 3D Printing Lab.

CAMD (Computer Aided Mechatronics Drafting Lab)/Solid modelling Lab is well equipped with 23 Personal computers of latest version and having Microsoft Windows 11 Pro paper license.
CAMD lab having 6KVA UPS with 16 batteries for emergency power off. For better understanding and learning DLP projector is fitted in lab.
Various practical like ICT, Computer Aided Mechatronics Drafting and Solid Modeling with Additive Manufacturing are performed in Lab.
All the computers are in LAN and having internet connection so that Students can able to do assignment and project work lab.

3. Microcontroller Programming / Autotronics Lab

This Lab is intended for developing the skills of interfacing and programming of different I/O devices with microcontroller.
Students will be able to develop microcontroller based applications for domestic and industrial products.
This Lab is well equipped with 8051 Microcontroller Development board ( ISP programming facility), ARM7 LPC2148 Development board, ADC interface board, DAC interface board, LM 35 (Temperature sensor), IR sensor, PIR motion sensor, ultrasonic sensor, DC Motor (12Volt,200rpm), Stepper Motor (6 volt,2kg torque) & Servo-Motor interface board.

4. Electro-Hydro-Pneumatic Control/ Industrial Measurement Lab.

This lab is designed to develop basic knowledge and skills to select and use different fluid power systems ,hydraulic and pneumatic components.
It also deals with the measuring different variables that influence production in industries.
Lab is equipped with major equipments like Bernoulli’s apparatus, Pascal’s law apparatus, Hydraulic trainer with PLC, Pneumatic trainer with PLC, Cut section models of Hydraulic and Pneumatic components, LVDT, Wheatstone’s Bridge Kit, McLeod Gauge Trainer, Electromagnetic flow meter, Sound meter etc.
